This is an exciting time to join Scope as a Campaigns Officer. We have begun an ambitious new strategy with a focus on social change – and developing our campaigns work within this. This role will be central to the delivery of campaigns planning and activity and will help us achieve a shift in our externally facing campaigns work to deliver everyday equality for disabled people. If you’re enthusiastic about the role public-facing campaigning can play in shaping social change, shaping insight-driven plans to bring supporters with you, working with others, and have a creative mind with a flair for messaging, we want to hear from you. About the role As a Campaigns Officer, you’ll be developing meaningful online and offline campaigns activity for Scope’s social change campaigns in a variety of areas affecting equality for disabled people. As part of a well-established policy and campaigns team, and working closely with teams across the organisation, you will translate our influencing work into engaging public-facing campaigns which keep disabled people at the heart, with a focus on developing our digital campaigning programme of activity Here are some of the things you’ll be doing as Campaigns Officer: Leading on digital campaigning and online campaigner journeys to engage and retain campaigners. Writing excellent campaign messaging, bringing creativity to present complex ideas in an engaging way. Developing a range of engaging and accessible online and offline campaigning materials and tactics which assist our social-change objectives. Working across Scope, developing excellent relationships with colleagues to deliver campaigning activity across a variety of channels. Develop engaging and accessible online actions for campaigners to assist our social-change objectives, and stay abreast of trends in digital campaigning, identifying new methods for engagement. About you A natural campaigner, with an interest in both online and offline campaigning, and experience of bringing supporters with you on campaigning journeys. Have a flair for digital campaigning, with an understanding of key channels and tactics. Work well with others, with an ability to engage and influence about the potential for campaigning in the organisation. Ability to digest complex information and turn it into engaging, simple, concise and clear English.
