We need someone who’s confident and level headed dealing with PR issues, spotting risk and putting mitigation in place. What it's like to work here Cliveden’s Italianate mansion, riverside setting and family-friendly events draw visitors all year round, making this property a busy location with a wide range of opportunities. There is always plenty to do at the 375-acre estate, with conservation of the South Terrace among recent projects. Cliveden team are close-knit with a wonderful sense of community. The location is quiet, so you'll need your own transport to get here. There are 3 catering outlets; The Conservatory Café, The Dolls House and Catering Kiosk for all visitors to enjoy a bit to eat! There are a series of impressive formal gardens with far-reaching views, an abundance of bedding change throughout the seasons and an intimate Rose Garden for those wanting a little bit of peace and tranquillity. What you'll be doing You'll be part of the Visitor Experience team and work collaboratively across the property team at Cliveden. You'll lead, as the Volunteer Manager, a small team of marketing & communications volunteers,with the opportunity to expand the volunteer involvement in your work streams.You'll be desk-based for majority of time, with an operational aspect to ensure you can support and keep in touch with the visitor-facing operations.There will be occasional weekend and evening working, including contributing to the duty manager rota. You'll need to have a creative flair, with excellent written skills and an eye for a great image, and be strong on brand awareness and visual identity. You’ll be confident to champion our cause message and seek out the latest updates and information from our staff & volunteers, to build a greater connection with our audiences. You’ll be highly organised and planning well-ahead with your marketing plans and communications. An ability to prioritise delivery across a number of objectives will be essential. Understanding our audiences, including how and where to engage them and help deliver our ambitious visitor targets,which put Cliveden Estate in the top 10 of National Trust properties (pay for entry). Experience delivering engaging content across a number of channels from print to digital will be required and you will need to be confident advising colleagues from across the whole property on brand, marketing and communications. You’ll be leading the first part of our visitor journey, by managing and exceeding their expectations of our visitors by having the most relevant and up to date information our website. You’ll have a strong evaluative techniques and will be reviewing and proactively implementing changes on daily basis based on your statistics and feedback. Who we're looking for To be successful in this role, you'll need Strong experience in a marketing role and running marketing communications Experience of developing and implementing marketing and communications plans Knowledge of relevant legislation: marketing codes, data protection, copyright and model release Proven track record in creating, using and editing content indifferent channels (web, social media, PR, email) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to spot potential risks to reputation and escalate them accordingly Have excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to influence, advise and negotiate at all levels within the organisation and with external agencies Well organised and able to manage multiple priorities and varying pressures to meet measurable targets and deadlines Experience of managing a delegated budget and understanding of marketing expenditure.
