We're looking for a talented UI Designer to join our evolving and ambitious team at Wellcome, who will contribute towards the design of our digital products, creating easy-to-use, thoughtful experiences and engaging interfaces.

Main responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality effective design solutions on digital products, from concept to implementation, using and contributing to the Wellcome design system
  • Undertake work in accordance with Wellcome policies and principles, while contributing to a set of design principles and processes
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplined product team alongside product managers, designers and developers to improve existing products and create new ones
  • Able to incorporate stakeholder feedback and user research into your design process

Experience & Skills

To succeed, you will have:

  • Experience in designing user-centred digital experiences
  • Excellent visual design skills and understanding of interaction design principles with a portfolio that demonstrates attention to detail and pixel perfect design
  • Good time management and ability to prioritise workload
  • Familiarity with responsive design and mobile-first principles
  • Proactive approach to work, flexible and able to learn new methods of design and agile working
  • Good knowledge of relevant software (Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Invision) with a willingness to learn and explore the opportunities presented by new tools

Education & Qualifications

We are looking for work evidence and commercial experience more than qualifications.
