Digital Manager

35 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Up to £36,000 per annum, dependent on experience

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital Manager with proven experience in search engine optimisation and website management to lead and develop the digital presence and platforms of our Red Cross Training (RCT) team.

Reporting to the Director of Red Cross Training, and supported by a small, established digital team, you will work together to develop and deliver a dynamic digital and social media strategy for Red Cross Training that drives engagement, supports the overall RCT Sales strategy and is aligned with the wider BRC corporate strategy.

This will include supporting with the continuous development and management of our first aid training website, our platform for users booking face to face first aid training courses. You will work closely with our London based Information and Digital Technology team to develop a site infrastructure that not only allows for a strong user experience, but also ensures that conversion targets are met. The post holder will also work with the Digital team to develop the first aid and teaching resources pages on our corporate website,

You'll also work closely with the RCT team to identify other digital streams, including online learning, e-learning, and blending learning, and will project manage these, from defining user stories, agreeing costs and time scales, managing budgets, and liaising with our in-house development team or external agencies to implement these new products.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with commercial experience who is looking to take on a rewarding role, where you'll be able to see the difference that you make - ensuring that our digital products are fit for purpose will allow us to hit our targets, and generate revenue that will support the work of the Red Cross.

Our Red Cross Training directorate play an important role in helping us achieve this; the team educate the public in basic first aid skills, teaching life-saving skills to people throughout the UK.

Our team are welcoming, motivated, and passionate about helping people. We've been delivering first aid at work courses for more than 30 years, and have over 170 trainers throughout the UK.

Our Salford office is home to a number of support services for Red Cross Training, including Sales, Marketing, Resource Planning, and Customer Service.

Who we're looking for

We're keen to hear from candidates who have a proven track record of managing and successfully executing multiple digital marketing campaigns, and through experience of working in a digital environment, have a good understanding of all core online marketing channels - PPC, email marketing, display, social media and affiliate networks.

Key to your success in this role will be your ability to think analytically and build strong working relationships, both with internal stakeholders and external partners. You will also;

  • Have excellent attention to detail
  • Have a solid understanding of search engine optimisation
  • Be experienced in Google analytics, email marketing and content management systems
