At Tearfund we are passionate about following Jesus where the need is greatest. Tearfund's project teams seek to provide innovative, high quality and effective analytical and technical support across the organisation to support this call.
We are seeking a data architect to join the team and take on the challenge of supporting the ongoing needs of the organisation in the modelling, design and oversight of data across Tearfund systems. You will work with the Global Systems Programme and the IT group
to understand Tearfund's current data model (As-Is) and validate and develop the proposed data model (To-Be) with sufficient detail to enable the new systems to be integrated and deployed in the UK and around the world.
You will be joining Tearfund at a busy and exciting time. During the first 12 months (minimum), your activities will include:
- Own, deliver and maintain the conceptual and logical data models for all ‘core data' which is central to Tearfund's work and required across a number of teams
- Maintain the integrity of the data models as business needs change
- Maintain documentation of data usage across the whole of Tearfund
- Provide support to key staff in relation to all aspects of the data models
- Develop principles and best practice guidelines for non-core data.
Educated to degree level (or equivalent level of knowledge) you will have proven data analysis experience working at a high level across a whole organisation. You will have worked on data-oriented IT projects and have experience of data architecture in the context of an integration (middleware) project. Experience of modelling financial data, in particular management accounts, would be beneficial.
