Three days a week, home based and some travel.
This is an exciting time for Parent Infant Partnership UK. We have always been a small charity that punches well above our weight. Now we have a new and expanding Leadership team, a new strategy, we are reviewing our brand and we want to make our communications more strategic and impactful than ever. We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic and proactive individual to take on this exciting challenge. In this new role, you will work with the senior management team to develop and lead a communications and engagement strategy and function that increases our brand awareness and embeds change in the field of infant mental health.
We are looking for a talented and broadly experienced creative individual to join us to raise our profile and deepen our engagement with the first 1001 days sector, our network and policymakers. As well as being confident in delivering creative and engaging content across digital platforms, you must also be well versed in writing compelling stories and content and have some print experience. The role crosses all functions and work areas – it requires agility and creativity – but the focus at the start will be on developing our new brand, telling the story of Parent Infant Partnership UK and our network of specialist parent-infant relationship services, through improvements to our website and social media presence.
This role provides an opportunity to develop and build the communications function within a small organisation and combines both strategic leadership and direct delivery. It is predominately home based, with flexibility in hours, making it perfect for an established communications professional who is looking for a flexible role that still provides plenty of challenge and opportunity. A training budget is available to support your professional development in the role.
Reporting to the Head of Policy and Campaigning, you’ll have plenty of exposure to the senior leadership team. We are a small and agile team who are all home based around the UK. Being a compact team, and remote workers, you must be able to work independently and be proactive, innovative and adaptable.
The postholder will need to establish the communications functions as the charity develops and prioritise its activities against the business plan. This is an exciting opportunity to build a communications function and develop it over time as the charity evolves.
