The Children's Society has been helping children and young people in this country for over 130 years. We run local services that support children when they are at their most vulnerable and in desperate need of help. We're there for children, every step of the way.
This role sits within our Finance and Corporate Services Directorate. Your role will be to provide first-line support to the users of the finance computer systems that support this £40m organisation and to be a key part of their maintenance and development. Every staff member has access to the system which means that you have a critical role in supporting delivery of our Beneficiary Impact, Accelerating Impact and Supporter Engagement plans.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and able person to join our dynamic, ambitious team providing financial administration, compliance, planning and reporting to The Children's Society. We want you to have a passion for enabling our customers to do their jobs well using our systems.
A key part of this role will be to provide effective support to a user base with a wide range of IT and finance process skills and to provide documentation and training to enable the users to realise the benefits of the investment that the Society has made in its finance computer systems.
In order to be successful in this role, you must have:
-The skills to work with and manipulate large data sets
-Advanced Excel skills
-Skills in and experience of using SQL, VBA or SSRS or similar tools
-Skills in the diagnosis and resolution of systems problems
-Knowledge of accounting and financial administration processes
-Experience of structured testing within a systems environment
-Experience of documentation of systems and processes
-Experience of maintenance and development of computer systems in a large, complex organisation
Candidates with experience of working with the Advanced Business Systems products Open Accounts, eBIS, V1 and Collaborative Planning will be at an advantage.
