We're looking for a qualified mid-weight Digital Content Designer to join our growing team in a time of increased digital demand.
Working alongside insight, technology and marketing teams, as well as subject matter experts across the British Heart Foundation, major progress has already been made in developing and refining our digital portfolio. But there is more to do.
Deepening engagement for our wide and varied customer-base, as well as growing our marketable universe, are crucial ambitions for the business: both of which can be achieved through considered journey mapping, tailored experiences, on-page optimisation and introducing and maintaining a culture of testing and experimentation.
About the role
You'll be involved in designing and producing high-performing engaging digital content that meets our audience needs and gets our message across. You’ll collaborate across the organisation on a variety of content projects, using evidence and analytics to embed a test and learn culture.
Knowledgeable on digital disciplines from design principles to SEO and analytics to CRO you’ll help to train colleagues in best digital practice and content production.
You’ll scope, commission, write, edit and publish digital content that is fit for purpose and high quality. Ensuring user journeys are the best they can be, you’ll also suggest improvements to the sitemap and taxonomical structure.
With significant and relevant experience working in a similar role across a family of websites, you’ll have working knowledge of HTML at an editorial level.
You’ll be experienced in devising and implementing creative digital content including text, images and video for websites. You’ll also have excellent written communication skills and demonstrable experience of writing for the web.
Knowledgeable in SEO with experience of optimising content for organic search, you'll have previous experience in using analytics and user insight to make data informed decisions on content development.
To be successful in this role you will also have the following:
• Significant experience using Content Management Systems
• Experience of working with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, both internal and external
• Highly efficient with strong time management skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to persuade and influence when needed
