We are looking for a dynamic Media and Communications Officer with the skills to place our landmark research where it belongs - at the top of the daily news agenda.
Britain’s leading independent research institute, NatCen is driven by the belief that our work has the power to make life better. We produce some of the most exciting, challenging and rigorous research in the UK, with a portfolio that ranges from the world class British Social Attitudes Survey to high impact studies on pressing current issues such as knife crime, obesity and Brexit. Findings from our work are used by policy makers, practitioners, academics, the media and the public to increase understanding and drive social change.
You will come armed with your own ideas about how, when and where we can make ourselves heard, and be confident navigating long term projects already underway with Britain’s top broadcasters and government press offices. You will be able to manage our relationships with high profile journalists and will have a proven track record of working with senior stakeholders. Above all you will have the vision and passion to make sure our research is at the heart of public policy debates across Britain.
