BookTrust is the UK's largest children's reading charity. We are dedicated to getting children reading. Each year we reach 3.4 million children across the UK with books, resources and support to help develop a love of reading.
In this varied and exiting role, you will manage the BookTrust website and ensure that all social media channels are engaging, accurate, accessible and promote the aims of the organisation. You will also monitor the performance of the BookTrust website and social media platforms and work to extend our reach to target audiences. You will also oversee, coordinate and create regular content for promotion on our social media channels and support BookTrust activities (programmes, campaigns and prizes) by delivering new content and functionality as needed.
This role is ideal for someone with a broad range of knowledge of digital media, social media and technology content management systems (ideally Episerver), as well as someone with experience in digital administration and editing. A knowledge of the world of children’s books is desirable. The successful candidate will be highly proficient with Microsoft Office and Photoshop and ideally familiar with range of software packages including Final Cut Pro, Adobe Creative Suite. The ideal candidate will also be a good problem solver and should have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
