We are looking for an intelligent and flexible Head of Media and Communications to lead a small team of communications and marketing professionals based in Aldershot. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a wide-ranging national programme of promotional activity; supported by a team of two.
You will be supporting the communications of two of the UK’s biggest and best youth organisations: The Army Cadet Force (ACF) and the Combined Cadet Force (CCF). ACF groups are based in the community and CCF groups in schools but both give young people access to a range of challenging, exciting, adventurous and educational military-themed activities. Their goal is to give young people the skills they need to succeed in life, whatever career path they choose.
You will have a ‘can do’ attitude, superb digital communications skills and the ability to manage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will need excellent writing skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to craft content for a range of print and digital media. An interest in, or experience of, the cadet forces is desirable but not essential.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop and improve communications across both youth organisations and to help promote the benefits of the cadet movement to a broad range of stakeholders and the general public.
DBS disclosure will be required for these posts.
