Are you looking to use your wide range of digital and marketing experience in a more diverse role? Or perhaps it’s time to use your powers for good at a well-known Charity that values sustainability and treating people positively?

Based in London, The Royal Free Charity is growing fast. We are now recruiting an enthusiastic and positive digital manager to ensure our website, social media and other digital channels and campaigns work as hard as we do to achieve our vision.

Whether you are already a digital manager, or are looking to step up into a more autonomous role, you’ll need both confidence and experience to define our digital strategy, lead its implementation from the front, and measure and report on digital performance to the wider team.

The interesting and varied role includes:

Leading the development of the Charity’s digital strategy: 

  • Growing awareness of the Charity through organic and paid search, social media and other digital channels
  • Content marketing and optimisation
  • Managing our email marketing strategy and campaigns
  • Measurement and reporting using Google Analytics, Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager

Improving the digital user experience for the Charity’s key audience groups:

  • Donors
  • Volunteers
  • Fundraisers
  • Patients
  • Support Hub users
  • Staff

Leading digital projects and initiatives by:

  • Assessing business needs
  • Setting targets, KPIs and milestones
  • Planning and coordination
  • Ensuring compliance with best practice digital governance

Performance reporting, and drawing insights from data.

Managing relationships with senior stakeholders, the NHS Trust and external suppliers and agencies.

Providing digital resources and guidance for organisational staff.

Who we’re looking for:

The ideal applicant is self-motivated and passionate about making a positive impact on the patient experience at the Royal Free Hospital. You’ll need to work well in a team, but thrive on autonomous, hands-on digital marketing and optimisation work.

We can’t live without….(essential experience)

  • Understanding and improving audience journeys and touchpoints
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating integrated digital campaigns (e.g. SEO, PPC, social, email, content…)
  • Developing engaging content for social media platforms
  • Publishing web content via a CMS
  • Managing email campaigns and newsletters
  • Setting digital performance KPIs, reporting and drawing insights from Google Analytics
  • Digital governance - managing access and publishing rights, defining internal policies and legal compliance such as GDPR
  • Managing relationships with stakeholders, colleagues, external suppliers and agencies

  • Google Ad Grant management
