22.5hrs/ 3 days per week

We are looking for a talented Senior Press and PR Officer to help us deliver our organisational strategy, growth ambitions and work on PR activity in support of our aims to end homelessness and rebuild lives.

You will also be involved with our work to grow our income, brand and influence, challenge attitudes towards homelessness and people who have been homeless, and help give a voice to our clients.

St Mungo’s delivers around 350 services that directly support people who are homeless or at risk and we have recently increased our capacity to work with people sleeping rough as a result of new government funding. We also campaign for change and fundraise for services that will support our clients to recover from homelessness.

As a key member of a team tasked with delivering excellent communications support for this activity, we are looking for someone who has:

  • Demonstrable PR and media experience having worked on delivering successful campaigns ideally in either public/third sector or agency-side
  • Experience of gathering and delivering impactful content, including real life stories, photos, videos and online copy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and is able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels in a clear, meaningful and effective way
  • The ability to be flexible, respond positively to change, and work effectively under pressure
