This is a pivotal role which will be at the centre of transforming the working of London Youth. We are looking for someone who can be a digital agitator who can drive opportunities in the organisation. Someone who understands information systems and their potential to revolutionise organisations, who has led a digital development function and can take a future focused approach to integrating our digital, information and communication systems effectively throughout the organisation. This will include consideration of strategies to enable us to extend our reach to wider audiences, deliver added value (online) to our membership and better market our services.

This role will lead on digital transformation and data management projects to support the organisation to deliver its ambitious strategy. With agreed investment in this area, this is an interesting and varied role working on diverse activities and a range of platforms. We are looking for the post-holder to take a holistic and strategic approach and drive a significant programme of work.

Alongside these developments, the role will also ensure effective management of our information and communication systems, business continuity, security and data governance.

The successful post-holder will have excellent project management skills and communication skills, a sound understanding of systems and data management principles, and comfortable in dealing with technical issues – although is not expected to be an expert as it will manage outside agencies and support. They will understand how systems and data contribute to our strategy implementation and provide insight in to opportunities that will support us to maximise our efficiency and impact. A good understanding of marketing (and digital marketing) principles and is also desirable.
