NSN is looking for an organised and motivated Data Manager to lead on maintaining our database and heading up our data analysis work. This is essential for us to record our work effectively and to report on our Key Performance Indicators. This is a new role within the organisation and is central to our new communications strategy.

The role offers a great opportunity to utilise technical and personal skills, to work with a range of dedicated colleagues across different teams in the pursuit of improving education through helping establish new schools.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage data quality, build reports and create data insights
  • Identify how to refine and improve the internal management of the Salesforce Database
  • Work with all departments to collect and utilise data
  • Ensure data hygiene by preparing and running appropriate data checks on a regular basis
  • Develop, implement and maintain the Salesforce Database to ensure accurate data collection and analysis, relevant outcomes and impact reporting
  • Implement Key Performance Indicators to monitor data quality
  • Overall IT management, including oversight and maintenance of the IT structure, including printers, phones, tablets and other devices

Skills and experience

  • Strong working knowledge of CRM database Salesforce and willingness to improve knowledge, including understanding of Salesforce Lightning
  • Proven ability to interpret and analyse existing datasets
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • A strong academic record
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience of managing and developing small projects
  • Ability to review information and use it to inform strategy and practice
  • A passion for improving education
  • Support for, and understanding of, the free school policy

Desirable experience

  • Strong working knowledge of Formstack
  • Working knowledge of Drupal
