About the role We have an immediate need for a Desktop Support Analyst to provide operational and technical support to users of information systems with a primary focus on installing, configuring and maintaining PC's, thin-client devices, printers, telephony, network hardware and peripheral equipment.   Providing support for a wide range of applications and hardware technologies for over 3500 staff across the UK, the analyst will perform Incident Management tasks adhering to the Incident Management process with the aim of restoring normal operational service with minimal business impact.  The desktop business analyst will adhere to the Change Management process for the correct delivery of changes for the organisation and own and action Service Requests to ensure that they are delivered in a timely and effective manner. They will also adhere to the SLAs laid down for Desktop Services incidents, service and change requests. The post holder will report to a Desktop Service Delivery Team Leader on a day to day basis and will need to able to travel within the South East of the UK. There will be the requirement to visit sites monthly within the areas of Canterbury, Crawley, Hove and Portsmouth.  About the team The Information and Digital Technology (I&DT) function is responsible for the Technology - both IT and Digital - across the organisation. It has a budget of approximately 9 million pounds and many suppliers. Supplier management and a good handle on where and how project and BAU budget is being spent are critical to ensure that we are providing good value for money. About the person With good analytical skills coupled with the ability to effectively manage incidents, problems and changes within an ITIL environment, the successful candidate will have experience of working in a complex multi-vendor IT environment and of working in a change environment.  Desirable: ITIL V3 Foundation Ivanti endpoint management (Laptops, Thin Clients, Workstations) Ivanti Provisioning (Laptops, Thin Clients, Workstations) Needs to have a good knowledge of network, PC's, mobile devices and platform operating systems including: Microsoft Windows OS. A good technical knowledge of Citrix technologies including Xen Desktop, XenApp and Presentation Server. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Active directory. Support desktop, laptop and thin clients, mobile devices, applications including the MS Office suite, Office 365, BRC applications, printing and delivery solutions. UX Designer / Researcher (x2) Location: London Hours per week: 35 Contract type: 1 years' fixed term Salary: GBP 38,000 - 40,000 pro rate per annum (including London weighting) Could you design and test new products which provide impactful solutions to help people in crisis? What you will be doing As UX Designers you will help us redesign essential products and services -improving the experience of people in crisis as well as our volunteers and staff.  As part of the digital team, you'll collaborate with users, service volunteers and staff as well as delivery managers, developers and other designers. Projects being worked on The two roles will cover a number of projects, including three major initiatives: Mobility Aids, Curriculum and Volunteer Experience.  Mobility Aids: following a successful project developing the ability for users to search for and reserve equipment online, we're now supporting the service in their move to a social enterprise model. This will make the service more sustainable in the long term and means some key changes to the digital elements of the service. We're looking for someone with a strong focus on putting the user at the centre. Curriculum: With first aid education being added to the curriculum, we're looking at how we can best support learning in schools. Digital will play a key part of this, and we're looking for someone who's going to ensure what we build is designed with our users at the heart. Experience of working within either education or first aid would be ideal, but not essential.  Volunteer Experience: Following an extensive service design project, we have several concepts which we're looking to design and test to improve recruitment and engagement of the 20,000+ volunteers who support our services across the UK (E.g. event first aid, refugee support, independent living). We use kindness to help those in crisis, and behind every great cause there's a great team making everything possible. It is essential that our organisation is meeting the changing and increasing expectations of those in crisis, and our volunteers and staff providing services. Our Central Innovation work across the organisation, identifying opportunities and finding new ways in which we can better accomplish the British Red Cross mission and support people in crisis. Digital Manager 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday Up to £36,000 per annum, dependent on experience We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Digital Manager with proven experience in search engine optimisation and website management to lead and develop the digital presence and platforms of our Red Cross Training (RCT) team. Reporting to the Director of Red Cross Training, and supported by a small, established digital team, you will work together to develop and deliver a dynamic digital and social media strategy for Red Cross Training that drives engagement, supports the overall RCT Sales strategy and is aligned with the wider BRC corporate strategy. This will include supporting with the continuous development and management of our first aid training website, our platform for users booking face to face first aid training courses. You will work closely with our London based Information and Digital Technology team to develop a site infrastructure that not only allows for a strong user experience, but also ensures that conversion targets are met. The post holder will also work with the Digital team to develop the first aid and teaching resources pages on our corporate website, You'll also work closely with the RCT team to identify other digital streams, including online learning, e-learning, and blending learning, and will project manage these, from defining user stories, agreeing costs and time scales, managing budgets, and liaising with our in-house development team or external agencies to implement these new products.
