The Humane League UK is seeking a dynamic, creative and organised individual to take ownership of our social media channels and bring our online presence to the next level. This is a full-time, remote working position. You will need to be self-motivated with strong communication and collaboration skills. You will play a key role in telling THL UK’s story online and mobilising support to drive progress for animals. The key focus of the role will be delivering first-rate social media communications, increasing our social media reach in quantity and quality, and recruiting support through our social media pages. Primary duties include: Day to day social media management Responsible for THL UK social media networks including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Linkedin, and any other networks implemented in the future Drafting and scheduling posts for THL UK’s social media Social media community management including moderating and responding to comments and messages Coordinating and delivering social media comms at events, protests and actions Concepting social media content and liaising with design/video teams to produce Strategy: Drafting and implementing strategies to grow our social media following and engagement Analysing and reporting on social media insight data Assisting the Communications Manager in identifying key influencers and developing influencer engagement strategies Monitoring other organisations’ & companies’ social media to identify trends Organisation: Inputting key social media activities into the communications calendar Using the communications calendar to identify necessary social media activities Liaising with other departments to identify opportunities for social media Managing social media volunteers: Training Regular check-in calls Post checking and feedback Setting tasks and monitoring work Raising the profile  of the Managing Director on social media: Drafting Linkedin and Twitter posts Growing MD’s followers on Linkedin and Twitter Monitoring inboxes for press/other requests Skills Required Communicator : You know how to tell powerful and engaging stories through social media. You have good written and spoken communication skills and an eye for detail. Self-starter :  You can motivate yourself and work independently. Creative : You are an ideas person. You like to think outside the box and you value your own creativity and that of others. Organised : This role requires your organisation to be on point. You can work to tight deadlines and think far forwards to organise your work. Team worker : You value the benefits of teamwork and are comfortable working with staff from different teams. Innovative : You constantly seek out new ways of doing things and new technologies. You have your eye on the ball when it comes to digital innovation   and social media trends.
