Multi-channel communications are crucial to Amnesty International UK’s success. We’re now looking for a skilled Head of Communications and Engagement who can tackle a complex and varied communications challenge that covers everything from social media and traditional print, to delivering our communication strategy and increasing awareness of our brand. About the role As our Head of Communications and Engagement you will lead our strategic communications to drive the impact of our campaigns, grow our movement and profile and increase our influence. This key, senior role will see you take responsibility for our overall communications strategy and planning, all our digital activities and the leadership of our brand. You will also oversee all our print deign and editorial work including our magazine and all of our video and audio production. Alongside being a member of our Leadership Team, you will also be active on an operational level, leading a large, multi-disciplinary creative team to produce audience-centred communications. Innovation and best practice will be at the heart of your work. The day-to-day challenges that this role faces will be diverse. About you You have extensive experience as a senior communications professional in a similar role, either inside or outside the third sector. You are an effective team manager with experience of managing multi-disciplinary teams. You can manage digital marketing functions; substantial budgets; cross-organisational projects; and marketing programmes across online and offline channels. With your expert knowledge of your field, you’ll have the credibility to guide senior creatives and work with Amnesty International leaders. You’ll also be adept at managing suppliers, motivating teams and interpreting data. We are looking for a Data Analysis Manager to join us at Amnesty International UK (AIUK). This role is based in the Data and Insight Team. About the role Reporting to the Head of Data and Insight, this role is responsible for managing the Data Analysis Team and providing the analysis, reporting and data selections necessary to support Amnesty International UK’s campaigning, fundraising and communication objectives.  You will work with colleagues throughout the organisation, proactively identifying areas in which the Data Analysis Team can support their work and championing the role of data analysis in driving decision making and informing strategy. You will oversee the range of analysis projects undertaken by the Data Analysis team, prioritise their workload and ensure analysis projects and data selections are delivered on time and to agreed specifications.  You will manage the development of reports to effectively monitor key performance indicators across the organisation, and the development of forecasting models to inform operational planning and budgeting. You will ensure the team communicates analytic findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a way that is engaging and leads to recommendations being actioned. You will provide leadership, direction and guidance to enable the team to fulfil its potential, developing their technical skills and encouraging cross-team working and innovation. About you You will have experience managing teams or individuals responsible for delivering data analysis and the ability to motivate them to achieve shared objectives. You will have substantive experience of undertaking analysis and reporting of direct marketing campaigns, as well as statistical analysis within a marketing environment. Experience with relational databases, digital marketing platforms and a range of data analysis tools and techniques is a must. You will be able to think strategically about the role of data analysis and lead on the implementation of data analysis projects. You will be highly numerate with excellent communication skills, enabling you to translate statistical or technical findings in an easy-to-understand manner to stakeholders in the organisation. You will have experience with data visualisation tools, such as Power BI. You will be an advanced user of MS SQL and MS Excel and have considerable experience with statistical/data analysis tools such as R, Python or similar.  You will have a strong understanding of Data Protection legislation, Equal Opportunities, and a commitment to the aims and objectives of Amnesty International UK.
