Bishopsgate Institute is the delivery arm of the Bishopsgate Foundation, founded in 1894 for “the promotion of the education of the public”. Today, the Institute is an independent and energetic creative hub where the City of London meets the East End: an incubator for talent and skills development, a place that welcomes all sorts of people to explore their subject of interest with like-minded individuals. Role purpose: To deliver increased audiences, customers and profile for Bishopsgate Institute against agreed targets and priorities. This includes maximising attendance and box office income through the creation and implementation of creative and effective marketing campaigns and developing promotional strategies that promote the full breadth of the Institute as a busy arts, heritage and adult learning organisation. 2 It also includes maximising venue hire income for spare capacity in our spaces by developing and delivering agreed promotional strategies and campaigns. This role would contribute to the development of brand value for the Institute, and to the further development of its look and feel, style guidelines and internal communications. This role will also contribute to the website redevelopment project including selection and integration of a new box office and CRM system in your first year. NB. The Campaigns Officer will deliver agreed aspects of the Campaigns Strategy and support the Institute’s PR, marketing and communications campaigns across social media, digital and print platforms. They will support the drive to increase audience engagement, including quantity and quality of engagement and revenue, and build and sustain widespread support for the organisation and its position locally, nationally and internationally. This post, one of two Campaigns Officers in the team, will implement effective campaign marketing and promotional strategies to promote the full breadth of the Institute as a busy, independent arts, heritage and adult learning organisation. The postholder will support audience insight work, market comparisons, and assist in gathering relevant data and analytics for evaluation. They will support the implementation of a new website with box office integration for the entire Institute. They will support research and develop and deliver effective promotional tools ensuring a strong brand identity is maintained and all activity is communicated effectively internally and externally.
