We are recruiting a part time Senior Media Officer to support Tearfund's disaster and humanitarian work. You will be an experienced PR professional with an eye for a good story and the skills and tenacity to see it shared in the media. You will build a network of media contacts and produce high quality media coverage for Tearfund's disaster and humanitarian work across a range of channels - broadcast, print and digital. You will work closely with our disaster and humanitarian team, providing expert advice on the way the media covers international development and aid stories and coming up with new and creative ideas for how to promote Tearfund key messages, campaigns and products. You will be skilled at building a long-term media strategy, as well as being agile to quickly respond to breaking stories. You will be a strong team player, helping the rest of the media team as necessary to support all of Tearfund's work across advocacy, fundraising and humanitarian disasters. Does this sound like the role for you? Then we'd love to hear from you. The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding issues. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure. All applicants must be committed to Tearfund's beliefs.
