VSO Kingston upon Thames, UK

Thank you for taking an interest in working at VSO. VSO does development differently. We fight poverty not by sending aid, but by working through volunteers and partners to create long-lasting change in some of the world's poorest regions. Right now, I'm looking for a Digital Manager to power the next phase of VSO's digital development and build organisational understanding of agile project management. Role overview You'll be joining us at an exciting time. We have just relaunched the VSO website with personalisation technology that's still in its infancy, our email and social channels need review, and there are multiple projects emerging across the organisation that require an agile, digital mindset to succeed. You'll provide specialist consultancy and advice to help colleagues engage with digital, and manage a wide range of projects to help present VSO as a leader in volunteering-focused development practices. Right now, VSO is bringing justice to rape survivors in Pakistan, building disaster prevention mechanisms in Mozambique, ending stigma against disabled children in Ethiopia and tackling the youth skills gap in Uganda and Bangladesh. Our work changes lives. I hope you'll like to be a part of it. Best wishes David Dawson, Head of Marketing Skills, qualifications and experience At VSO, we place a high value on transparency, collaboration, inquisitiveness and strong communication. We promote equal opportunities and value a diverse workforce. You will be a creative, experienced and pragmatic marketing professional with an excellent knowledge of UK and global audiences and channels. A background in the charity or international development sector is useful, but not essential. In return for your enthusiasm, energy and time, we offer flexible working policies, working from home days, generous annual leave, and opportunities for professional development, including a range of online self-study modules, coaching and workshops. There may also be occasional international travel. We also offer: * A friendly and supportive office environment * Competitive pension with Scottish Widows (matched at 5%) * Cycle to work scheme in the UK * Free parking in the UK * Lockers and shower facilities in the UK * Free lunch time activities * Employee Assistance Programme offering free, confidential support and guidance on a wide range of topics from money matters to legal issues, as well as counselling and a helpline. Unfortunately we are unable to provide sponsorship for this position, so please ensure you have the right to work in the UK before you apply.
