Managing the 15+ team of Office Hours volunteers, ensuring they have the onboarding, training and ongoing support needed to perform their role to a high standard
Overseeing the data use and data science support/advice given to social change organisations
Expanding the current scheme from one location (London-based) to multiple, starting with Edinburgh and Southampton
Provide technical oversight for DataCorps projects
Provide support (directly and through signposting)
Provide direct support and advice to social sector organisations around their data needs through 1-2-1 support, when queries are not suitable for Office Hours
Design events to support charities with their use of data, such as a series of technical workshops for social change organisations. These will be run with the communications officer
Develop and maintain partnerships with key data/digital infrastructure organisations to enable signposting of social change organisations to the most relevant support.
Develop resources that are appropriate for and accessible to social change organisations (i.e. translate technical into non-technical)
Advocate for the responsible use of data and its applications within the social sector

Develop resources that are appropriate for and accessible to social change organisations (i.e. translate technical into non-technical)

Job Purpose

We have an exciting opportunity for an exceptional direct marketing professional to join the Sponsorship Experience team within our Fundraising Group. Child sponsorship is the team's core product, and in this role, you’ll take an active lead in delivering a high value sponsorship experience through multi-channel marketing campaigns. These will drive supporter loyalty and satisfaction, helping bring to life the change supporters are making in the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children.
In the team we love that each day is different - from creating concepts, briefing, copywriting, and design, through to project and agency management, data selection, analysis and insight. As a senior member of the team, you'll be a strategic thinker who can shape and execute innovative product experience strategies, and line manage two mid-level marketing team members. You see the bigger picture but have an eye for detail and fantastic relationship-building skills. You'll be confident working with data and carrying out rigorous testing to prove the impact of campaigns and innovations through detailed data analysis to understand supporter behaviour, measure results and capitalise on future activities and campaigns.
To perform well in this role, you’ll need:
Experience gained in a product, digital or direct marketing role
Strong project management skills to deliver end-to-end marketing campaigns
A track record in analysing direct marketing results and using insight to drive innovation and improve campaign performance
Experience of delivering integrated marketing campaigns across a range of channels including direct mail, video, email, online and social media
The ability to work independently to drive innovation, creativity and results
Experience of line-management, supervision or coaching of staff.

Our service is on the front line of both homelessness prevention and the local response to rough sleeping. Beginning with the volunteer led triage assessment process that begins in our Welcome Area, clients are allocated according to specialisms in the team covering preventative work and support for rough sleepers. The main emphasis in the service is to do everything possible to move people into appropriate accommodation in a borough, community or country in which they have rights and entitlements to services. This work is often done in partnership with other organisations, some of which are funded to help people move away from a life on the streets or which may operate in other sectors such as health.
The ideal candidate
You will have previous experience of successfully developing, implementing and maintaining a database that operates effectively across a range of service and project types to provide consistent, accurate and relevant outcome and impact analysis. You have excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. You have great interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of people. You have a commercial edge to your approach, as well as a real interest in social justice. You enjoy working flexibly in a small team, responding to varying demands from time to time.
